Searching for a new role is a major life event, an exciting time which can also be daunting. While working with LK People, you will be fully supported throughout the process from CV advice and career coaching, through to full interview preparation. Our aim is to ensure that when you walk into an interview you are well-briefed, well-researched and confident enough to ace it every time.
Meet the Founders
Luke and Kate have worked together for over 6 years and bring together over 30 years’ experience in helping candidates find their perfect role and clients to find fantastic people.
Luke Wheeler
Luke discovered his passion for Recruitment in 2012 after gaining earlier work experience in editorial research, technology, and Michelin starred hospitality. Building up a combination of client service, project management and logistics experience allowed Luke to develop an excellent reputation for consistency and performance throughout his recruitment career.
The last decade has afforded him the opportunity to recruit for an awesome array of clients and roles across almost every sector. This has given him an unusually broad market insight and value as a consultant to both his clients and candidates.
Whether recruiting Energy Consultants in renewables, Social Media Analysts for global publishers, HRDs in Finance or EAs for FTSE 100 CEOs, Luke recruits with an emphasis on clear communication and thoroughness to place the best talent in the best roles across the UK.
Kate Cook
Kate started out in recruiting in 2000 as a fairly fresh graduate who had already worked in the property sector for a year.
Her first role in recruitment was for a specialist language recruitment division as a Resourcer and in-house language skills tester (in one of the only times she has managed put her French degree to official use!). Promoted to an International division to recruit and relocate Support and Finance staff for international HQs in the Netherlands she has not only flown to Amsterdam Schiphol an inordinate amount of times but gained some fantastic experience recruiting for organisations such as Nike Europe, KPMG International and Canon Europa.
Based back full-time in London, Kate spent over 6 years as a dedicated Senior Recruiter for large-scale Managed Solutions clients within Financial Services, starting off within Investment Banking and then several years as dedicated recruiter for the FCA. Based both off-site, and often on-site with clients based within their HR teams, she gained an invaluable insight into how different organisations work and the power of good people placement.
Since 2008, Kate has been back agency-side working with multiple clients from small start-ups to FTSE 100s and absolutely loves the variety of roles and sectors. Her main focus has always been Temps as she loves the fast pace and going the extra mile to find the best solutions for her clients.
She still absolutely loves the feeling of finding someone their perfect job and clients their perfect person.
